Hungary and Slovakia refused to support Ukraine: Politico learned the details.


Security guarantees and military aid for Ukraine is a question that Hungary rejected in the European Union. This was reported by the publication Politico.
According to this publication, Hungary rejected the draft text regarding security guarantees for Ukraine and a new package of military aid from the EU that was to be provided to Kyiv.
Slovak Prime Minister Fico expressed his disagreement with financial or military support for Kyiv and called the West's approach 'peace through strength' unrealistic.
It was previously reported that the head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, wrote a letter to the President of the European Council demanding to start 'direct negotiations with Russia for a ceasefire' in the war with Ukraine. According to journalists, he also threatened to block the future agreement of European leaders regarding Ukraine.
