Reuters: The EU has a trump card for negotiations with Trump about the future of Ukraine.

The European Union is considering the possibility of providing financial guarantees to support Ukraine, which could significantly strengthen the US negotiating position in dialogue with Russia, reports Reuters.
According to experts, if Europe provides the US with guarantees for further funding Ukraine's defense, it will create better conditions for negotiations with the Russian leadership. A key element of such support may be the frozen Russian currency reserves amounting to 300 billion dollars.
European countries, including the EU and the United Kingdom, express concern about a possible ceasefire agreement that could make Ukraine vulnerable. Therefore, Europe has a 'serious incentive' to convince the American side to reach a more favorable deal.
Experts point out that additional funding for Ukraine's defense capability could also benefit American manufacturers, given the slow development of the European defense industry.
The West's readiness to provide Ukraine with the necessary military and financial support could become an effective tool for pressuring Russia. 'Russia will ultimately run out of troops and money, so it is in its interest to agree on a decent deal now,' experts emphasize.
The amount of 300 billion dollars over three years may not only impress the American side but also convince the Russian leadership of Ukraine's ability to endure a prolonged war of attrition.
Also, please note: Ukraine will retain part of the $50 billion from the G7 from frozen Russian assets as a reserve.
