Europe is Struggling: NYT Reveals Why Military Aid to Ukraine is Under Threat After Trump's Decisions.

Europe is Losing the Race Against Time to Arm Ukraine
According to the American newspaper The New York Times, European countries supporting Ukraine will face problems in supplying arms if the US halts its military support.
'The coalition of European countries supporting Ukraine struggles to supply material resources to the battlefield since (US President Donald — ed.) Trump made it clear that Europe should take on more of the burden of ensuring Ukraine's security and its own security,' the report states.
The Verkhovna Rada has approved an agreement to provide the US a share of future revenues from natural resources, which will allow the continuation of American arms supplies and other aid for now. However, Yegor Chernev, deputy head of the National Security Committee, emphasizes that Ukrainian forces lack critical missiles and air defense systems.
Time Needed for Armament
Despite Europe's readiness to increase input in arms production, experts believe that it will take at least a decade to fully deploy production lines. The lengthy decision-making process complicates providing real assistance to Ukrainian troops.
'Europe is trying to replace the help we lost from the United States, but unfortunately, it lacks the capability to do so. There is a necessary time gap between the decision-making and actual help,' Chernev noted.
Hopes for continued arms supplies to Ukraine from Europe exist, however, some portion of American assistance remains necessary for the country's military security.
