A businessman shot dead in Kyiv — police have detained a suspect.

In Kyiv, police detained a foreigner suspected of murdering an entrepreneur. The shooting occurred in Troyeshchyna on July 8. A man in dark clothing with a covered face shot at the Kyiv resident twice with precision.

Suspect in the murder of the Kyiv entrepreneur detained

In the morning of July 8, an unknown man shot at the entrepreneur who was in his car in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital. The local resident died on the spot from the injuries sustained.

On the same day, the attacker fled to Odesa, but the police managed to apprehend him at a local hotel. It turned out that he is a 41-year-old foreigner.

'Currently, the investigation is considering several versions'

The prosecution claims that the suspects were not acquainted. Preliminary findings indicate that before the crime, the suspect was near the victim's house and was reconnoitering the area.

The detainee has been charged with premeditated murder for hire. He remains in custody, and for these actions, he faces 10 to 15 years of imprisonment or even life imprisonment.
