Almost 40 thousand civilians have been evacuated from Sumy region – Sumy Regional Military Administration.


In the Sumy region, more than 38 thousand people have already been evacuated from dangerous areas located on the border with Russia. This is stated on the website of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
According to the director of the Regional Department of Civil Protection of the Population, Oleksandr Mylash, 38,510 people have already been evacuated from the danger zone, including 6,961 children, which is almost 87% of the total number of evacuees.
Mandatory evacuation of children continues in 153 settlements. Currently, 654 children have been evacuated out of 866.
In the Sumy and Shostka districts, there are still children who have not been evacuated.
Families with children subject to evacuation have already been relocated to safer conditions in the territories of Konotop and Okhtyrka.
Recall that it was previously reported that as a result of a nighttime drone attack in the residential quarter of Sumy, three people died, including a 14-year-old child.
It also became known that on October 27, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on energy facilities of critical infrastructure in the Romny district of Sumy region.
On the night of October 27, there was also a power outage in Sumy following an attack by the Russian Federation on energy facilities.
