YASNO explained how to avoid inaccurate electricity billing.

Calculation of electricity bills depending on the Time of meter readings
YASNO specialists explained to citizens how electricity bills are formed depending on the time of meter readings.
According to information from the company, clients who submit electricity meter readings within a specified period receive bills calculated based on the actual electricity consumed. This period lasts two days before the end of the month and for three days into the next month.
Those who do not adhere to these deadlines or do not submit data at all will have their bill calculated based on average daily consumption.
'In February 2025, meter readings can be submitted from February 27 to March 3,' YASNO stated.
After receiving data from a client, such as DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks, YASNO obtains information about the amount of kilowatt-hours consumed. This amount is then multiplied by the tariff of 4.32 UAH per kW∙h, established by CMU Resolution No. 632 of May 31, 2024.
If the consumer submits readings outside the recommended period, the calculation is carried out according to a different scheme.
In this case, the distribution system operator uses data on electricity consumption for the corresponding period of the previous year. The consumption amount is divided by the number of days in the month, and the resulting figure is multiplied by the number of days with unknown consumption and the growth/reduction coefficient of electricity consumption.
If the client did not submit readings during the month, the calculation is also carried out based on average daily consumption for the entire month.
In this case, data for the corresponding period of the previous year is used or, if such data is not available, the consumption amount from the previous month is taken into account with appropriate coefficients.
To avoid misunderstandings regarding the amounts on bills, YASNO recommends clients to use chatbots that send reminders and simplify the process of data submission.
