Drivers prepare for new tariffs from July 1? Police statement.

Information has spread on the network about the introduction of new fines for drivers from July 1, but this information has been denied by the patrol police. Currently, no such changes are planned. An official representative of the police urged to trust only official sources.
Interestingly, in 2024, 71 cases related to the use of electric scooters were received by the courts. The highest fine was imposed on a man who drove an electric scooter while intoxicated in Odesa. The number of such cases increased by 42% compared to the previous year.

Lviv also has its curiosities. On Kopernika Street, over 17 thousand fines have been issued for parking violations in the last three years. Inspectors identified five main places where drivers often violate the rules. At the same Time, a draft law is being considered in the Verkhovna Rada regarding changes in the system of fines for drivers, in particular about the possible abolition of the rule regarding the allowed speed limit exceeding of less than 20 km/h.
The police have dismissed rumors about new fines for drivers from July 1, emphasizing the importance of trusting only official sources. At the same time, the increase in the number of cases involving electric scooters and parking fines indicates a decrease in the police's tolerance for violations on the roads.
