Vlada confirmed the explosion at an industrial warehouse near Zhytomyr: what is known about the victims.


The police of the Zhytomyr region confirmed the information about the explosion that occurred near the village of Berezina in the Hlybochetska community on July 2. Specialists from the State Emergency Service, investigative groups from the National Police, patrol officers, and medical personnel are working at the scene.
According to the head of the Hlybochetska community, Serhiy Sokalskyi, the explosion occurred at the warehouse of an industrial enterprise in the village of Berezina. The National Police clarified that the exact location of the explosion is still being established, and the gas station has also been damaged.
The medical director of the 'Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine' of the Zhytomyr Regional Council, Viktor Hryniv, reported that almost 20 ambulances were dispatched to the scene due to a large number of injured. 'Preliminarily, many people are injured because there were 2 powerful explosions,' Hryniv said, adding that not all ambulances managed to reach the scene due to traffic jams on the road.
Two women were hospitalized: one to the regional hospital, and the other to the second city hospital. Information regarding the burnt passenger bus and dozens of cars circulating in Telegram channels has not yet been officially confirmed.
