Milk procurement prices in Ukraine have increased.


According to the Association of Milk Producers, in August milk prices increased compared to July. The average price of three grades was 14.25 UAH/kg excluding VAT, which is 44 kopecks more than a month ago.
The price increase was influenced by a reduction in the supply of raw milk for processing from milk farms due to severe heat and the energy crisis in Ukraine. This was reported by the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers, Georgiy Kukhaleyshvili.
Prices for extra grade milk rose to 14.62 UAH/kg excluding VAT, which is 50 kopecks more than a month ago. The price range for this grade on farms varies from 13.60 to 15.20 UAH/kg excluding VAT. The upper limit of the price range increased by 90 kopecks, and the lower limit by 40 kopecks in the last month.
Prices for higher-grade milk also increased to 14.62 UAH/kg excluding VAT. The price range fluctuates from 13.60 to 15.20 UAH/kg excluding VAT, indicating an increase in the upper limit by 90 kopecks and the lower limit by 40 kopecks compared to the results of monitoring in the first half of July.
The average price for first-grade milk was 13.52 UAH/kg excluding VAT, which is 32 kopecks more than in the first half of July. The minimum price was 12.65 UAH/kg, and the maximum price – 14.05 UAH/kg. Over the past month, the price range has not changed from below, and the upper limit has increased by 90 kopecks.
Thus, the weighted average price of three grades of milk was 14.25 UAH/kg excluding VAT, which is 44 kopecks more than a month ago.
