The Ukrainian Railways launches a new experimental regional train that will start running from July 11. This will be train No. 826/825 connecting Lviv - Ternopil - Khmelnytskyi, which will run daily except Tuesday.

This was announced by the press service of the Ukrainian Railways on Telegram on Monday, July 7.

New regional train of the Ukrainian Railways

After the repair of electric train EPL9T No. 007, it was assigned a second comfort class. It is equipped with ramps, inclusive toilets, places for passengers in wheelchairs, and bike racks. There are also two vending machines with drinks and snacks.

Among other updates in the train:

  • modern individual soft seats with adjustable positions and USB charging ports;
  • individual tables for each passenger;
  • mounts for mobile devices that allow you to conveniently watch your favorite series on the go;
  • updated lighting system with the option to turn on a lower level of cabin lighting;
  • indication of toilet occupancy;
  • wagon display with the route;
  • increased capacity luggage racks;
  • equipped shelves for transporting suitcases.

The Ukrainian Railways plans to continue modernizing suburban trains used by many passengers, as stated in the announcement. For this, active participation from the state is needed.

'Ukrainian Railways continues to plan the modernization of suburban rolling stock, which has been used by over 14.5 million passengers since the beginning of the year, a quarter of whom are beneficiaries. It is quite logical that in most cases, people choose the railway, as it ensures safety, stability, a clear schedule without traffic jams, and the ability to travel even during air raids,' it is noted.

Information has been provided regarding the launch of the new regional train of the Ukrainian Railways, which will start running between Lviv, Ternopil, and Khmelnytskyi from July 11. The train has received significant improvements in passenger comfort, including modern seats, individual tables, gadget mounts, and more. The Ukrainian Railways plans to continue modernizing its rolling stock for the convenience of passengers.
