Attacks on the railway in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy

Last night and this morning, separatists carried out attacks on railway infrastructure and rolling stock in the territories of Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy. This was reported by the company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' based on information from the 'Hlavkom' portal.

In Kharkiv region, fragments of drones hit the tracks, causing a temporary suspension of train services. Traffic was restored after the consequences of the attack were eliminated.

In the city of Sloviansk in Donetsk, the contact network was damaged due to hostilities, and debris from drones led to broken glass in one of the electric train cars. Also, in the morning, the city was shelled, resulting in damaged windows at the station.

The situation in Sumy region

In Sumy region, a drone caused minor damage to the tracks, but rail traffic was not suspended on the section.

Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries among workers and passengers. Railway workers are quickly restoring the damaged infrastructure and ensuring continuous movement across the country, despite enemy provocations.

Let us remind you that the attack on Kharkiv occurred on the night of May 27 to 28 when Russian terrorists used drones. The head of the Kharkiv regional military-civilian administration, Oleg Synehubov, reported eight injured as a result of the drone attack in two villages of the region, including a child.

Such attacks on civilian objects increase tension in the region and confirm the aggressive intentions of the enemies against Ukraine.
