UAV strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the oil depot: emergency situation introduced in Engels.


An oil depot of 'Rosrezerv' in the city of Engels, Saratov region of Russia caught fire, caused by Ukrainian drones. The area of the fire increased, prompting authorities to declare a state of emergency. This was reported by the governor of the region, Roman Busarhin. He also noted that an 'industrial enterprise' in the city was affected.
The governor also reported that two employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations firefighting service were killed, and one was injured. Earlier he claimed that there were no casualties and that resources to extinguish the fire would be sufficient.
According to the governor, the drones were likely shot down by air defense systems, but a piece of the destroyed drone landed on the industrial site in Engels. Photos and videos of the fire have appeared online.
Ukrainian military attacked the Russian oil depot in Engels
It is recalled that drones attacked the oil depot of the 'Crystal' plant of Rosrezerv, where fuel for the 'Engels-2' airbase is stored, which houses the strategic aviation of Russia, including Tu-160 bombers.

Shortly before this incident, similar attacks occurred. Explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of December 31, and Russian air defense systems were engaged in Sevastopol. Also, that night drones attacked an oil depot in the Smolensk region. In the evening of December 30, a 'hit' was reported on a gathering of Russian military personnel in Lgov, Kursk region of Russia.
