A radioactive cargo disappeared in the USA under strange circumstances.

A radioactive cargo containing germanium isotope has disappeared in the USA. This is reported by NDTV, citing a report from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
According to the NRC, an oncology center in the city of Najah, New Jersey, sent the radioactive cargo containing Germanium-68 for disposal. However, the cargo did not reach its destination. The container carrying the cargo arrived damaged and empty. The licensee will file a claim with the shipper and provide a full report within 30 days if the source is not found. The report will include the causes and proposed corrective actions.
According to the commission, the cargo contains a small amount of material classified as a radiation source below level three according to IAEA classification.
Earlier, a similar incident occurred in Australia, involving the disappearance of hundreds of containers with deadly viruses from a laboratory. The Queensland Department of Health is investigating this incident.
