In Russia, they announced the participation of Shevchenko's former teammate in a friendly match in Moscow.


It was announced in the Russian Federation that former football goalkeepers Carlo Cudicini and Sebastian Frey became the first players of the 'Legends of Europe' team in a friendly match against CSKA. The game is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the UEFA Cup victory and will take place on May 18 in Moscow.
Cudicini, a 51-year-old goalkeeper, played for Chelsea during the 2004/05 season. Frey, a 45-year-old goalkeeper, was a key player for Parma in the 2004/05 season, having appeared in 41 matches.
The CSKA team will consist of players from the teams that 'Legends of Europe' competed against in the 2005 UEFA Cup. Among these teams are: Chelsea, Benfica, Parma, Auxerre, PSG, Benfica, Partizan, and Porto.
Cudicini knows Ukrainian footballer Andriy Shevchenko as they played together for Chelsea. Additionally, the Italian goalkeeper participated in a charity match in support of Ukraine in 2023.
In another football-related news, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated footballer and futsal player Oleksii Yablonskyi, who was a traitor and worked for the occupation authorities in Crimea. He played for various football and futsal teams in Ukraine.
Yablonskyi began his career at the 'PFS' football club in Sevastopol and was known for his performances in the futsal and beach football championships in Ukraine. After the annexation of Crimea, he continued playing on the occupied peninsula in the 'Crimean Football Union Premier League' organized by Russian occupiers.
Unfortunately, after Yablonskyi was eliminated, he left behind a wife and two children in Crimea.
