Three Violations – A Year Without a License: The Parliament Considers Stricter Fines for Drivers.

A bill №12172 has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which provides for tougher accountability for drivers violating traffic rules.

The document was submitted by a group of people's deputies led by the head of the Committee on Law Enforcement Activities, Serhiy Ionushas, reports Sud.ua.

According to the bill, it is proposed to change fines for repeat offenders. For violating pedestrian crossing rules, intersections, and running a red light within a year, a fine of 1020 hryvnias is provided.

Especially strict sanctions await malicious violators. If a driver is held accountable twice within a year for similar violations, they face a fine of 2550 hryvnias and deprivation of rights for a period from six months to a year. At the same Time, the bill excludes the possibility of being limited to a verbal reprimand.

The National Police and the Military Road Safety Inspection of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have the authority to review cases and issue orders. In cases involving license deprivation, courts will make the decisions.

Drivers were also reminded of an important rule: when to use "turn signals" in the city and on the highway.
