Trump owes US cities hundreds of thousands of dollars for rallies.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump owes money to dozens of cities and municipalities where he held rallies over the past several years. His total debt ranges from tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars, including overtime payments to police, firefighters, medics, and other emergency services. The mayor of Albuquerque wrote on social media that he is waiting for Trump to pay him half a million dollars that he owes. Trump also owes the city of Green Bay over 33 thousand dollars for ensuring public safety. The authorities of some cities have decided not to demand money from Trump, as they consider the expenses important for the safety and well-being of their residents. The state or municipal administration can involve police officers in presidential campaign events without mandatory reimbursement of expenses.
