U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that he would be the first to acknowledge his defeat in the election if they are "conducted fairly".
This was reported by Sud.ua with reference to AFP.
"If I lose the election, if it's a fair election, I'll be the first to acknowledge it. So far, I believe they've been fair," Trump said after voting in Florida.
Trump reiterated his criticism of the use of electronic voting machines, arguing that they are less secure than paper ballots and delay the announcement of results.
"They spend all this money on machines... If they used paper ballots, voter ID, proof of citizenship, and one-day voting, it would all be over by 10 p.m. It's madness," he said.
Commenting on concerns about possible unrest after the election, Trump stated that his supporters "are not violent people" and there will be no violence.
It is also recalled that the U.S. election day is taking place with high turnout.
