Tragedy on the Roof of the Train: Ombudsman Responds to Social Media Hype.

The Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, stated the inadmissibility of spreading videos showing a child injured on the roof of a train. He emphasized that this violates the child's rights to dignity. According to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, such videos undermine the dignity of the affected child. The law also prohibits the dissemination of personal data of the child without the consent of parents or legal representatives. Lubinets urged to focus on working with children and enhancing adult supervision to prevent similar incidents.
Recall that recently, at the 'Kyiv-Volynskyi' station, a 12-year-old teenager suffered severe burns from an electric shock when he climbed onto the roof of the train.
A similar tragedy also occurred in Odesa, where two boys climbed onto a stationary train and were electrocuted. One of the boys died.
