How much does it cost to obtain a driver's license in Ukraine: detailed analysis of expenses.

In Ukraine, obtaining a driver's license costs at least 1242 hryvnias. This amount includes the cost of exams and the production of the license. If the candidate fails an exam on the first attempt, the total cost increases.
From 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has removed the restriction on the number of practical exam attempts. Candidates can retake it an unlimited number of times, but each attempt must be paid for separately. Also, during the process of obtaining a license, additional expenses may arise, for example, if the candidate decides to take the exam using a driving school's car.
To be eligible for the exams, candidates need to have a medical certificate of fitness to drive a vehicle, the cost of which is not included in the 1242 hryvnias mentioned.
The changes implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs aim to minimize corruption risks and do not affect the official cost of services provided by the Ministry's service centers.
