Seoul: Russia may have helped North Korea develop a new airborne missile.

South Korea suspects North Korea of technical cooperation with Russia
According to South Korean military sources, North Korea may have support from Russia in creating a new air-to-air missile, the test results of which became known last week. North Korean media reports on Sunday stated that Kim Jong Un himself observed training exercises for air defense and air combat.
'We believe there is a connection,' said Colonel Lee Soon-jung, a representative of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
According to the colonel, further analysis is needed to assess the extent of cooperation between North Korea and Russia in the arms sector. The military in South Korea plans to develop its own air-to-air missile system by 2035.
The recent events in the DPRK are part of a broader arms modernization strategy that Kim Jong Un himself talks about. He emphasizes the importance of preparing for a possible war, particularly by conducting inspections of military units and factories that produce weapons.
The situation in northern Korea requires the attention of the international community and intensified diplomatic efforts to maintain peace in the region.
