Sanctions affect the work of the BRICS summit — political scientist.

China is actively involved in anti-Western blocs and platforms, said political scientist Olesya Yakhno
Political scientist Olesya Yakhno stated that China does not hide its participation in anti-Western blocs and platforms and constantly seeks an alternative to Western leadership. She noted that China is part of anti-Western blocs and alliances that try to create an alternative system to the Western world, including those in Central Asia. She also emphasized that China actively stresses the need for an alternative to Western leadership in global politics and economics.
At the same Time, she noted that BRICS, in modern conditions, has limited economic opportunities due to war and the threat of sanctions. She also noted that countries that have refused to join BRICS or did not participate in the summit, such as Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan, share this caution and consider it better to refrain from active involvement and observe the development of the situation.
