British intelligence revealed Russia's losses in the war.

Russia suffered the highest losses during the war with Ukraine in recent years
According to the UK Ministry of Defence, in 2024, Russia suffered severe losses in the war with Ukraine. A total of 429 thousand servicemen were lost, which is an extremely high figure compared to previous years.
Only last year, Russia lost 105,960 people, and in 2023 - 252,940. In total, Russia's losses in this full-scale war exceed 750 thousand.
The number of losses has steadily increased over six months and reached a record 48,670 in December - the highest for the entire duration of the war. The UK Ministry of Defence indicates that this statistic will deteriorate until Russia ends its invasion.
Other sources, including the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, report that Russia has lost about 818,740 people, including killed and wounded. Earlier, the Pentagon estimated Russian losses at around 600,000. However, even Putin stated that the losses are indeed higher than the official figures.
Information on the losses of Russian military regiments is being clarified. Ukraine is also keeping data secret, although President Zelenskyy admitted the day before that 43 thousand Ukrainian servicemen had died and 370 thousand were injured. Likely, Russia's losses are significantly higher than reported.
