Russian Occupants Launched an Attack on Kharkiv and Its Surroundings
On the night of October 2 to 3, Russian occupants launched an attack on Kharkiv and its surroundings. According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, around 11:00 PM, two enemy Su-34 aircraft dropped five guided aerial bombs of the UMPB D-30SN type. The planes took off from an airfield in the locality of Stroitel, Belgorod Region.
Three of these bombs hit Kharkiv, and two struck the Dergachi community. In the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city, the impact of two aerial bombs in an open area was recorded.
Affected Area and Residential Building in Kharkiv
The Saltivskyi district suffered the most as a result of this attack. One of the bombs hit a five-story residential building. As a result of the explosion and the fire that ensued, 10 people, including a three-year-old child, survived the tragedy.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service were quickly on the scene. They managed to swiftly extinguish the fire that covered an area of 65 square meters. Emergency rescue operations continue.
Criminal Proceedings
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office initiated criminal proceedings on the facts of violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
