The President comments on the absence of Ukrainian 'shaheds' on the night of April 1

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky explained why there were no Ukrainian 'shaheds' in the sky of the country on the night of April 1. He noted that he cannot say exactly why this happened, but it may have been due to unsuitable weather conditions or the non-fulfillment of the energy truce by the Russians. The president also emphasized that the Russians directed FPV drones to Kherson region, which resulted in power outages for 40 thousand consumers.

However, according to monitoring, Russia did not carry out strike drone attacks at that Time. The last time there was such a night without hostile drones was on March 14 and prior to that on October 14, 2024. The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation Andriy Kovalенко believes that the absence of strike drones does not have significant meaning, but merely reflects the current situation.

It was also noted that Russia actively used glide bombs (KAB) against Ukraine at night, particularly in the areas of Sumy region, Zaporizhzhia region, and Donetsk region. Rustem Umerov, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, conveyed information about Russian violations in the energy sector to the American side.

Zelensky stated that the proposal from the United States to halt strikes cannot be implemented at this time due to Russia's position.
