The President of the United Arab Emirates is ready to support efforts to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated after a meeting in the Russian Federation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that he is ready to support efforts to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine.
On Sunday, Putin held an informal conversation with Mohammed at a residence near Moscow.
"We continue to make efforts in mediating the exchange of prisoners. And I assure you that we will continue to work in this direction. We are ready to make any effort to resolve crises and in the interests of peace, in the interests of both sides," said the UAE President.
The UAE President arrived in Russia on the eve of the BRICS group summit, which is set to begin on October 22 in Kazan.
