Russian Air Defense as a Short Blanket: Armed Forces of Ukraine Limit Occupiers' Capabilities.

The intensity of strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian territory has increased. This indicates that the Russian air defense cannot cope with the work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This opinion was shared on the air of the FREEДОМ TV channel by Valeriy Riabykh, Development Director of the information and consulting company Defense Express.
"The Russian air defense lately resembles a short blanket that can only be stretched over a very important part of this country's 'body.' And this is linked to the systematic work of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in reducing the capabilities of the Russian Federation to cover their own objects," said Riabykh.
According to him, most Russian air defense systems are now concentrated in the frontline area to cover the troops.
"A large number of air defense assets are also engaged in covering Crimea, the same Kerch bridge. And a significant part of such assets is diverted to cover Putin's residence," the expert explained.
Riabykh also drew attention to the fact that an important part of the fight against drones and missiles is detection tools - these are the eyes of any air defense system.
"And after the destruction of a critical number of long-range radar detection aircraft, A-50, which the Russian Federation can no longer produce, after resolving issues with fighting Russian reconnaissance drones, eliminating a number of radar stations like 'Nebo-M', the capabilities of the Russian armed forces in conducting reconnaissance and ensuring the full operation of the air defense system were reduced," he noted.
According to the expert, after a qualitative increase in Ukraine's capability to strike using all types of reconnaissance, the quality of penetration through the Russian air defense system has also increased. And this process will continue because the rate of destruction of Russian air defense assets currently significantly exceeds the capabilities of the aggressor country to mass-produce them, Riabykh believes.
"And there is nowhere to take air defense from in general because, I repeat, this air defense blanket has become very short and keeps getting smaller," the speaker added.
