Air temperature in Ukraine in September will be above normal
In September, the average monthly air temperature in Ukraine will fluctuate between 15-20 degrees Celsius (in the Carpathians 13-14 degrees), which is two degrees above normal. This was reported by "Ukrhydrometcenter".
According to the forecasters, the monthly amount of precipitation will be at the level of 37-76 mm, in the Carpathians in some places will be 97-111 mm, which is within the norm.
"September is a transitional month from summer to autumn, characterized by a general decrease in temperature and weakening of thunderstorm activity," the experts remind.
Long-term observation data indicate that the average monthly air temperature usually ranges from 13-17 degrees, in the southern part it sometimes reaches 18-20 degrees, in mountainous areas - 9-15 degrees Celsius.
The absolute minimum air temperature in September is 1-7 degrees below zero, in the south of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions - 0-1 degrees above zero, in Crimea - up to 5.5 degrees above zero.
The absolute maximum air temperature usually reaches 33-38.8 degrees, in mountainous areas in some places up to 24-32 degrees Celsius.
The average monthly amount of precipitation is 37-74 mm, in the southern part in some places 28-36 mm. In Prykarpattia, Zakarpattia, and the Carpathians in some places at the level of 77-108 mm, in the highlands of the Carpathians - up to 130 mm.
Frosts in the air begin in the second and third decades, in the Carpathians and in some places in Chernihiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions - in the first decade of September.
Recall that today, September 1, there will be variable cloudiness, no precipitation is expected.
