North Korea has sent additional troops to Russia
According to South Korean intelligence, North Korea sent additional soldiers to Russia in January and February. In total, there were about 1000, including already deployed troops fighting against Ukrainian forces.
It remains unclear whether these additional troops have been stationed in the Kursk region of Russia. Officially, North Korea has not acknowledged providing assistance to Russia in the war against Ukraine.
According to intelligence, the DPRK plans to transfer another 148 KN-23 missiles to Russia. They have also sent 200 units of long-range artillery and ammunition.
In 2025, North Korea will increase the development of its weapons as it is the last year of its five-year plan. Among them will be nuclear submarines, reconnaissance satellites, and intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) with solid-fuel engines.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated at a press conference that Russia plans to deploy 2-3 thousand DPRK troops in the Kursk direction.
