Luxembourg will support Ukraine and continue to leverage its experience to assist millions affected by the war
Luxembourg's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Xavier Bettel, stated that his country will provide unwavering support to Ukraine during its presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, which took place on February 17.
'Luxembourg will provide unwavering support to Ukraine during its presidency. It will ensure that the Council of Europe continues to leverage its experience to support Ukraine and the millions of people affected by the conflict, focusing its priority efforts on rejecting impunity for crimes committed in Ukraine,' Bettel said.
Luxembourg has taken over the rotating presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, which is the official decision-making body within the Council of Europe. Bettel noted that Luxembourg will prioritize the rule of law and democracy, as well as advocate for common policies as an important tool to counter threats in Europe.
