The new coalition of Germany supports Ukraine's membership in NATO.

Germany promises to support Ukraine's NATO membership
The future government of Germany promises to assist Ukraine in its desire to join NATO and support it in effectively defending against Russian aggression. This is stated in the coalition agreement published by Ukrinform. Germany plans to reaffirm its interests in negotiations and provide comprehensive support to Ukraine in political, civilian, and military spheres. A joint strategy development with partners regarding peace and security in Ukraine is also planned. Moreover, Germany will support the establishment of a special tribunal to investigate aggression against Ukraine.
The agreement also includes Germany's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine and seeks ways to use frozen Russian assets to provide assistance to Kyiv. However, it does not mention Germany's possible participation in European peacekeeping forces or the transfer of long-range weapons to Ukraine. The leader of the Social Democratic Party, Lars Klingbeil, expressed hope that the government would not oppose assistance to Ukraine.
