Netherlands prepare an unpleasant surprise for Ukrainian refugees.

Minister of Asylum and Migration in the Netherlands wants to reduce the validity period of residence permits for refugees
Marjolein Faber, Minister of Asylum and Migration in the Netherlands, stated that she intends to reduce the validity period of residence permits for refugees.
After a working visit to Denmark, Faber expressed the opinion that the situation there is very simple. In Denmark, only short-term residence permits are issued for refugees. According to the minister, she would like the same system to be in place in the Netherlands.
I want to get rid of the permanent residence permit. Currently, our temporary residence permit is valid for five years, but if it were up to me, it would be reduced to two years.
This plan is part of a strategy aimed at implementing the strictest asylum policy in Netherlands' history, announced by the new government.
Earlier, Prime Minister Dick Schoof stated that he is looking for ways to encourage Ukrainian men of conscription age to return home. No timeframe for the return of Ukrainians was mentioned, but the focus was on incentives rather than forceful methods.
