The attacker who took hostages in Paris has been arrested.


A man was detained at a pizzeria near the Paris ring road after a lengthy hostage situation. Four hostages were released during a special operation involving an elite Paris police unit. According to sources, the detained man has a negative reputation due to various offenses related to drugs, violence, and rioting.
“The man, who is around forty years old, has a bad reputation with the police due to offenses related to drugs, violence, and rioting,” the sources noted.
According to them, the suspect had previously called his mother to inform her about his cocaine addiction. It was his mother who called the police. The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation and decided that the suspect will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
The restaurant was surrounded by police forces who blocked the streets and established a security zone. The Paris police prefecture urged people to avoid the area.
The prosecutor's office has developed a kidnapping investigation, which has been handed over to the criminal investigations department.
It is worth noting that the son of the owner of the pizzeria “L'Olivier” took hostages and barricaded himself in his father's establishment.
Recently, three Moldovan citizens were also detained in Paris, suspected of creating graffiti depicting coffins with the inscriptions “French soldiers in Ukraine.”
Additionally, hundreds of people protested across France in support of Gisel Pelico, who became a victim of sexual violence and had been affected by drugs for over ten years.
