According to the budget draft materials, Russia's revenues from oil and gas sales in 2025 will decrease to 10.9 trillion RUB from 11.3 trillion RUB in 2024 due to changes in tax regulations on the MET for gas.
The government attributes the further decline in revenues to a decrease in oil prices and a change in the structure of extraction and processing. It is forecasted that oil and gas revenues will be 10.56 trillion RUB in 2026 and 9.77 trillion RUB in 2027.
"The decline in oil and gas revenues in 2025 compared to 2024 is primarily due to changes in legislation on the MET for gas," the materials state.
