Thousands of cases of an unknown fever recorded in Sri Lanka.
In Sri Lanka, more than 10,000 residents have fallen ill with an unknown fever, reports the Daily Mirror. Doctors suspect that the spread of this disease may be related to rat fever, which is transmitted by rodents and insectivores. According to reports, five people have died from this fever and respiratory complications, and blood samples have been sent for further research.
It is believed that floods and rains are causing flooding in areas and leading to an increase in the number of sick.
A similar case is known in Congo
A peculiar disease that caused the death of 143 people has also been discovered in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Doctors began analyzing samples to determine the cause of the illness, but the number of infected continues to rise.
In addition, in Australia, in Queensland, 323 vials of viruses were stolen from a local laboratory. Among the stolen samples were viruses with various characteristics, including Hendra, which is transmitted from horses to humans.
