In the Lviv region, a driver was fined for failing to comply with the requirements of the traffic controller and not stopping during the nationwide minute of silence. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the press service of the Patrol Police of Lviv region.
The incident occurred in the city of Mostyska on the M-11 'Lviv - Shegyni' highway. At 09:00, when the minute of silence began, the patrol officers who were on duty there stopped the traffic. However, the driver of a Renault Megan decided to ignore the traffic controller's requirements and drove on.
A local 65-year-old driver received a notice under part 2 of Article 122 (Passing a forbidden gesture of the traffic controller) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. He was fined 510 hryvnias.
As a reminder, in Kyiv, reminders about the minute of silence will be implemented on outdoor advertising and advertising means placed in the metro. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the statement by the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration on self-governing powers, Marina Khonda.
Khonda noted that soon this reminder will become even more noticeable - in Kyiv, informational messages about the nationwide minute of silence will appear on outdoor advertising and advertising means placed in the metro.
As is known, Kyiv has standardized the rules for holding a minute of silence. However, the capital will not freeze every day at nine o'clock like Lviv, as the minute of silence in the metropolis has its own peculiarities and complexities. This was stated in an interview with 'Glavkom' by the deputy of the Kyiv City Council, the head of the Kyiv City Council Committee on Culture, Tourism, and Information Policy, Victoria Mukha. The deputy reported that Kyiv began to develop additional mechanisms for holding a daily minute of silence in memory of those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war after the residents of Kyiv supported the corresponding electronic petition.
