Cyprus extradited a Russian to the USA for illegal supply of electronics to Russia.

A federal court in Manhattan, USA, is holding Arthur Petrov, a citizen of Russia and Germany, who was extradited from Cyprus. He is accused of supplying American military microelectronics to Russia. US Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco called the extradition an important step towards holding Russia accountable. Petrov is suspected of conspiring to smuggle microelectronics for Russian weapons manufacturers. He, along with accomplices, managed a network of illegal purchases, using shell companies and other means of deception to hide the final destination of the components. Microelectronics supplied by Petrov and his accomplices were found in Russian military equipment on the battlefields in Ukraine. Multiple charges have been filed against Arthur Petrov, each carrying different prison sentences.
