The goalkeeper of the Ukrainian national team 'brought' the strangest goal of the Champions League season to Benfica (video).


Benfica lost to Barcelona with a score of 4:5
In the Champions League match, the Portuguese club Benfica was defeated by the Spanish Barcelona with a score of 4:5. Benfica's goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin scored a goal into his own net after a deflection off an opponent. This allowed Barcelona to secure victory in the 90+6 minute.
Goals were scored as follows: 1:0 - Pavlidis (penalty), 1:1 - Lewandowski (penalty), 2:1 - Pavlidis, 3:1 - Pavlidis, 3:2 - Rafinha, 4:2 - Araujo (own goal), 4:3 - Lewandowski (penalty), 4:4 - Garcia, 4:5 - Rafinha.
This match was exciting and led to many mistakes from both sides. Pavlidis scored two goals against Benfica, while Trubin conceded one goal. Additionally, Araujo scored an own goal.
At the 78th minute, Benfica was leading 4:2, but Barcelona managed to restore parity. In the final minutes of the game, Rafinha scored his second goal and secured victory for Barcelona.
Throughout the 2024/25 season, Trubin played 28 matches for Benfica, conceding 24 goals and making 13 saves.
