General Staff of the AFU: 80 clashes with Russian invaders have already occurred in the past 24 hours.


Active combat operations continue on the territory of Ukraine
According to the General Staff of the AFU, as of 16:00 on August 12, 2024, active combat operations continue on the territory of Ukraine. Over the past day, 80 clashes with Russian invaders were recorded.
Sumy and Chernihiv regions have been subjected to artillery and mortar shelling from the territory of Russia. Mala Slobidka, Pokrovka, Uhroidy, Boyaro-Lezhachi, and Bleshniya were affected. In addition, the enemy carried out 16 airstrikes on various settlements in these regions.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy carried out three attacks near Tykhe and Vovchansk. In the Kupyansk direction, six clashes occurred. The Lyman direction experienced 17 enemy assaults. Three battles occurred in the Siversk direction.
In the Kramatorsk direction, five clashes were recorded, while in the Toretsk direction, the number of attacks increased to eight. The most intense combat occurred in the Pokrovske direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 out of 25 enemy attacks.
In the Kurakhove and Vremivka directions, the invaders unsuccessfully attacked AFU positions five times. The Dnipro direction saw the Russians defeated, as they attacked the Ukrainian defense lines on the left bank of the Dnipro three times.
The situation on other fronts remains unchanged, and Ukrainian military continue to restrain the enemy and maintain control over the situation.
