Missile attacks are undermining Ukrainian energy infrastructure
Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko reported that missile attacks from Russia continue to cause significant damage to Ukrainian energy infrastructure. It was noted that the main factor influencing electricity supply is the consequences of these attacks, not weather conditions.
The only thing that matters is the consequences of the attacks. Unfortunately, these attacks happen every day. I want to tell you that on Sunday we lost a significant generating capacity.
The minister also noted that the damage to the facility is substantial and it is now difficult to predict when it will be restored.
Despite the damage, the minister stated that the energy system is still functioning and there is no need for large-scale outages for household consumers.
The situation remains tense, but manageable.
Earlier, Ukrenergo had already talked about 'greedy' electrical appliances and how to reduce load and energy consumption.
