EU officially extended 'transport visa-free regime' with Ukraine: new rules.

The European Parliament extended the 'transport visa-free regime' with Ukraine
The European Parliament decided to extend the 'transport visa-free regime' with Ukraine until the end of 2025, announced Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. The vote was supported by 488 deputies, 137 voted against, and 34 abstained.
The European Parliament's website has published new requirements for Ukrainian carriers:
- Drivers must have documents that confirm the legality of the trip, even if the truck is empty.
- A sticker on the front windshield of the vehicle confirming participation in the agreement has become mandatory.
- A 'protective clause' has been introduced for the possible temporary suspension of the agreement in case of a threat to the EU transport market.
After the agreement is approved by the European Parliament, it will be sent to the EU Council for final approval. Drivers have also been warned about potential changes in fuel prices.
The adoption of the 'transport visa-free regime' with Ukraine will allow Ukrainian transport companies to operate without additional restrictions and permits.
The adoption of the agreement will promote further cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of transport and ensure greater safety and legal certainty for Ukrainian carriers.
