Supplement to pension in 2025: what payments can Chernobyl victims rely on.

Possible supplements for Chernobyl victims in 2025
According to the Law of Ukraine 'On the Status and Social Protection of Citizens Affected by the Chernobyl Disaster', Ukrainians affected by the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant can receive additional payments to their pension, regardless of the amount of their basic pension.
Liquidators of the second category may receive a monthly additional pension at the age of 76 as a special surcharge for the damage done to their health.
Even if you do not have a disability, as a liquidator you can retire earlier than the standard term. You will also receive the additional payment mentioned above.
According to government resolution No. 1210 dated 23.11.2011, the surcharge for second category liquidators is 170.82 hryvnias and has remained unchanged for a long Time.
If your liquidator status documents are in your pension file, the surcharge is automatically accounted for in your total pension without additional recalculation.
In addition to the pension supplement, victims can receive compensation for food products by contacting the local social protection department.
We also remind you that in Europe the retirement age will be raised to 67 years.
