Die Welt named the territories of Ukraine that Putin wants to occupy in 2025.

The Kremlin plans to continue the war against Ukraine until 2025 and seize several regions. Even if Russia is forced to stop, Europe remains under threat. This opinion was expressed by experts from the German newspaper Die Welt.
Major General Christian Freudin stated that Russia is increasing the amount of weaponry on the front in Ukraine and the Kursk region, indicating plans for a war with NATO.
"The Russian army is getting more tanks, ammunition, missiles, and drones," noted Freudin.
According to intelligence, Russia recruits up to 30,000 volunteers each month for the war against Ukraine. The total number of the Russian army is 1.5 million, which is ten times more than in Germany.
Russia has significantly expanded its military capability and weapons production over the three years of the war in Ukraine. However, the weaknesses of Russia have also become evident. Analysts warn of the possibility of Russian aggression against Poland and the Baltic States.
The head of the European Parliament's Security and Defense Committee, Marie Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, notes that the development of events depends on the end of the war in Ukraine. She warns of the possibility of an attack on a NATO member in a year or two if Russia succeeds in Ukraine.
Additionally, Russia has signed a partnership agreement with Iran, which does not recognize the occupation of Crimea and other territories of Ukraine. Furthermore, Russia plans to expand its army by 2026, raising concerns in NATO.
