Changes in diesel fuel prices affect the Ukrainian market
Changes have occurred in the European diesel fuel market, which have a direct impact on the Ukrainian market. According to enkorr, diesel fuel prices have increased by $27 per ton, which is equivalent to 1.12 hryvnia per liter. As of September 19, 2024, the cost of diesel in the Mediterranean ranges from $674 to $683 per ton, and in northern Europe - from $669 to $675 per ton.
This price increase has a noticeable impact on the Ukrainian market. According to monitoring by the Consulting Group "A-95," from September 16 to 20, the average price of diesel fuel in Ukraine increased by 0.22 hryvnia per liter and stands at 43.21 hryvnia per liter.
Traders point to a difficult market situation. Despite the sufficient amount of resources, sales have significantly decreased due to price increases.
"If you lose by 5-10 kop./l, no one takes it," noted one of the traders from southern Ukraine.
Diesel fuel prices depend on the region. In southern Ukraine, the cost of diesel ranges from 40.95 to 41.70 hryvnia per liter, while in the west of the country, prices range from 42 to 43.70 hryvnia per liter.
It is worth noting that the EU plans to create a diesel fuel reserve to help Ukraine better endure the heating season.
