The five-day Polaris Dawn mission journey has ended, and the astronauts have returned to Earth. During the journey, the first private spacewalk was conducted. The astronauts conducted the first private spacewalk at an altitude of almost 740 kilometers above Earth. This altitude exceeds the International Space Station and the Hubble Space Telescope. The spacecraft reached a maximum altitude of 1408 kilometers after launch on Tuesday.
Let us recall that on September 12, participants of the American reusable spacecraft Crew Dragon, which was launched into orbit with four tourists, went on a spacewalk. Billionaire Jared Isaacman and SpaceX engineer Sarah Gillis entered the space vacuum. The spacewalk lasted about two hours, starting at 06:12 Eastern Time (13:12 Kyiv time) when the spacecraft was at an altitude of over 700 km above Earth.
